i can't believe it's already wednesday! this week is both flying by, and taking for-ev-er! so much to do every day, but i like my days jam packed with to-do's and such. 

allright... here we go... play along if you'd like.

{one} what was one thing that you valued when you were a kid?Interesting question. "Valued" and "Kid" don't usually sound right together, but I would have to say as a kid I valued family time. Friday nights (TGIF), going out to a new restaurant or event or outing that my parents wanted to expose us to, or special events at home like anniversaries or birthdays. So many amazing memories.
{two} what was your favorite (+ lease favorite) subject in school?I've always loved Math, I truly disliked Economics, like really bad.
{three} do you remember your first love?Of course. What girl doesn't. lol.
{four} what one pet would you love to have?I'm really not a 'pet' person, but if I absolutely HAD to choose, I'd say a puppy, that wouldn't grow big.
{five} would you rather live in the country or in the city?I'd have a house in both. lol. Some days I wish it was the country, but to be completely honest, I can't be too far from a good shopping mall. Even with the wonders of technology and online shopping, sometimes a girl just wants to stroll down the way and window shop. 
{six} what do you love about blogging?I love that blogging has introduced me to some amazing people, some who have become incredibly important to me and my life.
{seven} what is the first website you visit everyday?Yahoo, to check my email. Followed by (don't want to admit this) Facebook. Followed by google reader.
{eight} will you or have you joined google+?Nope, and probably wont.
{nine} what is your favorite scent of candle/air freshener?In Spring and Summer it's floral, like Sunflower or Sweet Pea. In Fall and Winter it's spice, like Cinnamon or Pumpkin Pie.
{ten} how would you describe your style?Champagne taste on a Beer budget so I'll settle for a good bottle of Wine instead. lol.

catching up

yes, i have been absent from le blog all week, but a swerr it's not my fault. it's the dumb-bunny computer i'm working with here. it decided not to work this week, and i had to wait like a patient little lady to get her up and running. finally, i am back on line, and i have a ton of work and a ton of blog reading to catch up on. eek! so, let me bust out this weeks 'Wee Bit Wednesday' and 'Fill In The Blank Friday' and them i'm out!

{one} what is your dream job?No clue, probably has something to do with lots of money and traveling. lol.
{two} how many best friends do you have?Several. They know who they are.
{three} what’s the longest road trip you’ve ever taken?When we were kids we took a road trip up the CA coast through Oregon and ended up in Bend, OR for a family reunion. Good times.
{four} if you had to do one single thing every day for the next year, what would it be?Yoga. Definitely.
{five} what’s one story your family always tells about you?Hmm, not sure. Maybe the time that bird pooped on my head while I was blindfolded and swinging a bat at a pinata in my grandma's front yard. lol.
{six} how did your parents pick your name?Not really sure, I think I was gonna be an Alexis. Can you imagine me... an Alexis... I think NOT! So glad I'm Jennifer, or Jen, or JJ (to my fam) but never ever EVER a Jenny... not unless you wanna Die!! lol
{seven} what’s the one thing that scares you more than anything?The moments before you die. Yep, scary.
{eight} are you a good cook?Sometimes. lol. I totally kick azz at a few recipes, but I really like to try new things (okay, so the red cabbage dish wasn't a winner, but at least we can all check it off the list. lol) {nine} where do you see yourself in 20 years?Oh geez, I'll be 50! I'd better be up in the gym still. And minimal botox, not yet in need of a facelift. lmao. Probably a grandma by then, and nearing retirement. 
{ten} what’s your best childhood memory?Houseboat vacations. The absolute best!

1.   One of my happiest moments ever was       giving birth to my daughter. It was an all day process, but one that I would relive over and over again. Same goes with my son's birth, but would have to give up the after birth (the part where I truly though I was going to die as they filled me with morphine) .

2.  Summer is wedding season and weddings are    always beautiful and always make me cry (happy tears) .

3.  This summer     has had its ups and downs, but overall it's been really great .

4.  My summer food of choice has been   berries, fruit, and anything grilled .

5.  My summer uniform has been     shorts, tanks, and chanklas (flip flops) .

6.  If I could spend the entire summer in one location I would choose      Hawaii. duh  .

7.  My summer anthem is       "California Girls" by Katy Perry .

{one} what’s the #1 most played song on your iPod (or whatever you use)?

It constantly changes, like just about every week I have a new song (or album) I play out. This week it's Adele, 21 and the song would be 'Someone Like You' followed closely by 'Lovesong'.

{two} what’s your favorite type of exercise?Tough question. Probably strength training, followed by yoga, followed by cycle.

{three} what’s your least favorite mode of transportation?Airplane. I do NOT like to fly. 

{four} if you could choose to stay a certain age forever, what would it be?Oh geez, NOT 30... this year has been rough. Tons of learning and growing, but so incredibly rough. I'd say in my twenties, upper twenties. 28,29... around there.

{five} when you have 30 minutes of free time, what do you use it to do?lol, free time, like that exists in my life. I would say reading my Oxygen magazine or vegging out to some tv or a movie.

{six} what do you miss the most about being a kid?The innocence in which we see all things. Nothing is bad or harmful, and everything is possible!

{seven} when was the last time you were nervous?Yesterday. I always get a bit nervous when I try a new gym exercise. (Especially if it involves me holding myself up so that I don't fall on my face. lol.)

{eight} what was the first thing you bough with your own money when you were young?I saved my money for months to buy my own stereo for my bedroom. My parents were so proud!

{nine} what is your favorite month of the year?Tough one. I find something favorite in every month. But if I HAD to choose, it could be.... yeah, can't pick one. Sorry.

{two} how have you changed in the past year?Wow. Um, well, my Daddy went to Heaven and that pretty much turned my entire world upside down. Big changes that are still taking place, but I'm definitely learning and taking things one by one, day by day.
{three} have you ever had any surgeries?Nope.
{four} why did you start your blog?I started blogging as a creative outlet. I love to journal, and thought it'd be nice to journal somewhere that keeps record. 
{five} what are you looking forward to this summer?Hmmm, getting a tan. Hanging out with family. 
{six} do you have any family traditions for the 4th of July?We used to all get dressed red-white-blue and bbq and watch fireworks with friends and family. This year will be different.
{seven} what’s something new that you’ve tried in the past few months?I'd say cycle class, or going back to yoga.

i know, i know... tsk tsk... i have been mia but i have a list of excuses! hehe

1. kids are gone for three weeks. this gives me more ME time... which essentially translates into more hours at work. which brings me to...

2. i'm in the air conditioning business... in Arizona... it's summer. Does this add up yet? Needless to say, we are super busy, hence the longer hours i'm here in my office.

3. i've pretty much avoided blogging my 'feelings' as it's been an 'emotional' week for me and i really don't want to be all 'crybaby' and 'debbie downer' here.

4. my dog ate my homework. lol. just kidding. 

and now, onto the tasks at hand...

{one} how many times have you been a bridesmaid/maid of honor?I've been a flower girl once, a bridesmaid twice, and a maid of honor three times. For a grand total of 6 weddings. (I LOVE Weddings!)
{two} what’s the last thing your do before you fall asleep at night?Say my prayers. Seriously. I say the 'Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep' prayer, followed by praying for people and the day.
{three} you just won your dream vacation, all expenses paid. where are you going?England! For a month! (Miss my Matthew!)
{four} what is your favorite outdoor activity?Hmmm, I'm not so much an 'outdoorsy' girl. But I grew up fishing with my dad, and I like to hike mountain trails. 
{five} as a child, what did you want to “be when you grew up”? did you end up there?When I was 8 I wanted to be a Fashion Designer. Me and two of my girlfriends had a 'company' and we would draw clothes and exchange them. lol. I even designed my dream Christmas gown (think the ending of White Christmas). Oh yes I did (right Mom!). lolThen when I was about 13 my Dad told me that I should be a Financial Advisor because they got to spend other peoples money (now I'm wondering in there was a pun involved there. haha)About high school time, I decided I wanted to become an elementary school teacher because I wanted to 'influence and teach the children of our future'. Needless to say, none of this happened. God had other plans for me. And I'm totally okay with that.
{six} what are 3 things your dream home would have that you don’t currently have?A gourmet kitchen, a formal living room with ornate fireplace, and a pool in a lush tropical backyard.
{seven} what’s for dinner tonight?Most likely chicken or fish with vegetables.
{eight} if someone stopped by your house unannounced on a typical Saturday night, what would they find you doing?ha! well, that depends on if i have plans. ususally, i'm watching a movie or reading in bed. i know... Big Saturday Night! Woot Woot!
{nine} what’s your average monthly water bill?I think it's around $80-$100, but its the city bill, so that includes trash too.
{ten} what do you do to relax?Yoga, Hot Bath, Glass of Red Wine, Read.

1.   This weekend I'm       doing laundry (in desperate need of some clean clothes and clean gym clothes) and probably cleaning the house. Hopefully I can get a little bit of journaling in  .

2.  My last vacation was    Las Vegas with my Mom this past January .

3.  My next vacation will be     a cruise to Mexico in November .

4.  My favorite way to relax is  a hot bath, a glass of red wine, and a good book with some classical (yes, I listen to classical) music low in the background !

5.  When vacationing one should always     leave the tv off and the cell phone on vibrate (for emergencies only) !

6.  When vacationing one should never      diet, or not apply sunscreen!

7.  The best part about a vacation is       being away from work and the stresses of daily life.

{six} if your house caught fire and you could only grab three things, what would they be? Removable hard drive (with my pics on them) my wedding book (downstairs) and the scrapbooks downstairs.

{eight} who inspires you the most? Yikes! This one is tough. I'd have to go with my mom. She has been through some seriously tough times but she keeps pressing on. She's so much stronger than she gives herself credit for, and I hope to be as strong as her!!

{nine} if you had your own talk show, who would your first three guests be? Tosca Reno, Jamie Eason, and Adam Levine.

{ten} sneakers or sandals? Sandals... or as I call them, chanklas! hehe

{two} if you could be any other person for one day, who would it be?Princess Catherine. I have always wanted to know what it would be like to be treated like royalty.
{three} what is your favorite kind of cheese?ALL cheese! But if I absolutely HAD to pick, if would have to Smoked Gouda followed by creamy luscious brie.
{four} do you remember your 1st grade teacher?Absolutely! Her name was Mrs. Tisler.

{one} do you watch the history channel? if so, what’s your favorite program?Oh yes, the hubs loves that channel! We watch American Pickers, Pawn Stars, Top Shot, American Restoration, Mounted In Alaska, Swamp People... ALOT of shows. lol
{two} what is your favorite thing to do on a rainy day?Curl up in bed and watch movies
{three} what does your dream house look like?Oh geez, not sure exactly. I'd love to have a beautiful cabin in the woods, decorated with lots of warm and earthy colors, and lots of natural light. 
{four} what state were you born in?California
{five} do you have a change jar? if so, what do you use it for when it gets full?Yes! And the hubs and my son just counted it last night (because it was full). The money is going into our cruise fund.

{seven} what is your favorite breakfast?Favorite breakfast ever?!? Hmmm, I'm always a sucker for crepes, followed by Belgium waffles, and always accompanied by thick sliced maple bacon, fresh berries and real whipped cream. (salivating!)
{eight} what’s the most memorable trip you’ve ever taken?Most memorable, probably when we took our kids to Kauai, HI. Followed by my favorite childhood trip when my parents took us up to the Redwoods in NorCal.
{nine} do you prefer your coffee black or with cream/milk/sugar?I've gotten so used to drinking it black, but every once in a great while I'll add Cinnamon Vanilla Creamer, or buy a Skinny Vanilla Latte at Sbucks.

{one} what profession have you always admired?Officers, police and sherriff. They put their life on the line every day to keep our cities and our counties safe from crime. I have always admired them, and to be a sherriff's daughter, and to have so many officers in my family makes me so proud.
{two} what would the title of your memoir/biography be if it was written today?"something BIG is coming: me!"
{three} how far do you commute to work?40 minutes, one way
{four} are your earlobes attached or detached?I have no clue what this means! lol

{one} when was the last time you used a pay phone (if ever)?Wow... I can honestly say I do not remember. I want to say it was when I was 16 and ran away to the beach. I called my neighbor, Kerry, to have her tell my parents I was okay. Lame, I know. (sidenote, I got caught and had to come home the next morning... and got grounded.... for a month! lol)

{two} did you ever fail a subject in school?No way! C's weren't even acceptable (although I did get several of those).

{three} where do you go to get your favorite hamburger/cheeseburger?Cheeseburger in Paradise has the best most yummiest burgers.

{four} have you ever served jury duty?Nope. 
{five} how old were you when you moved out of your parents’ house?18

{six} what is your favorite color to wear?Black. lol. and Pink.

{seven} do you have a pair of shoes that you wear all the time?Probably my black chanklas (flip-flops).

{five} do you know how to sew?kinda. if i absolutely had to, i could.
{six} did you get an allowance when you were young?i don't really think so. i mean, we pretty much got whatever we wanted.

{nine} have you ever been robbed?yes! aside from cds being stolen from my car (twice)... our storage pod was broken into while we were waiting for our house to be built. every box had been gone through. 
{ten} what is the worst haircut you’ve ever had?when i was preggers with my son, i had a really short (cute) bob... the bigger i got, the less attractive the haircut was. lol.

1.   I am looking forward to       taking a cruise with the hubs later this year .

2.  Something kind of embarassing that I still love anyway is    Disney movies. i love them so much, and watch them (with or without my kids) pretty much all the time .

3.  My favorite car is    my lexi. i love my car waaay too much. lol .

4.  If I could pick one type of weather to live with for the rest of my life it would be    warm (not Hot) and dry... the kind of weather where it feels like you could float through the air because it's so light at comfortable (think spring day in AZ with all the doors open and a soft breeze) .

5.  My favorite thing to do after a bad/stressful day is     crawl in bed and watch a crybaby movie .

6.  This weekend       I have dinner plans, have a training session, have a mani-pedi at the salon, get to visit with family friends, and maybe get in a day at the water park... we'll see .

7.  If I were a color, I'd be       pink     because,       it's fun and flirty and girly and soft.

{one} have you ever fainted?yes... looong time ago. it was hot, and I had just broken my wrist.then I nearly fainted in the hospital room when my then 5 year old son got out of surgery on his broken arm. 
{two} what is your favorite casino game?video poker at the bar! lol. I always joke that I'm gonna be one of those 'blue hairs' (aka old people) sippin my oj and vodka in Laughlin, NV at the Edgewater. Of course, I'll have pink hair... gotta change it up! lol
{three} do you have a good sense of direction?sure do. I can usually get someplace after only being there once. I do, however, still have to run through the 'Never-Eat-Shredded-Wheat' to figure out which is East and which is West. lol
{four} laptop or desktop?desktop... iIdon't have a laptop. whaaa.
{five} what is your go-to hair style when having a bad hair day?Pigtails! Or half up half down. lol.
