yeah, so it seems lately there have been quite a few you tube videos that are cracking me up! thought i'd share them with ya...

1.   If I could get away somewhere for the weekend I would go      Sedona  and I would bring      a good book, some healthy snacks, and an overnight bag (you never know) .

2.  Something I often rant about is   cranky customers and customers who don't pay their bill. I mean really people... I send the hubs out late at night to get you cool air when it's deathly hot outside, and then you wanna bitch about the bill, and not pay! Who does that!.

3.  One item I need to have in my fridge at all time is    Fage 0% greek yogurt.

4.  My "life-saving" product is   Burt's Bees Lip Balm .

5.  A friend is someone who     knows you and STILL loves you .

6.  If I could write my own blank it would be      what is your favorite childhood movie   .

{three} what is your favorite kind of cheese?ALL cheese! But if I absolutely HAD to pick, if would have to Smoked Gouda followed by creamy luscious brie.

{one} do you watch the history channel? if so, what’s your favorite program?Oh yes, the hubs loves that channel! We watch American Pickers, Pawn Stars, Top Shot, American Restoration, Mounted In Alaska, Swamp People... ALOT of shows. lol
{two} what is your favorite thing to do on a rainy day?Curl up in bed and watch movies
{three} what does your dream house look like?Oh geez, not sure exactly. I'd love to have a beautiful cabin in the woods, decorated with lots of warm and earthy colors, and lots of natural light. 
{four} what state were you born in?California
{five} do you have a change jar? if so, what do you use it for when it gets full?Yes! And the hubs and my son just counted it last night (because it was full). The money is going into our cruise fund.
{six} what’s the first website you look at when you get on the computer?SparkPeople
{seven} what is your favorite breakfast?Favorite breakfast ever?!? Hmmm, I'm always a sucker for crepes, followed by Belgium waffles, and always accompanied by thick sliced maple bacon, fresh berries and real whipped cream. (salivating!)
{eight} what’s the most memorable trip you’ve ever taken?Most memorable, probably when we took our kids to Kauai, HI. Followed by my favorite childhood trip when my parents took us up to the Redwoods in NorCal.
{nine} do you prefer your coffee black or with cream/milk/sugar?I've gotten so used to drinking it black, but every once in a great while I'll add Cinnamon Vanilla Creamer, or buy a Skinny Vanilla Latte at Sbucks.

{one} what profession have you always admired?Officers, police and sherriff. They put their life on the line every day to keep our cities and our counties safe from crime. I have always admired them, and to be a sherriff's daughter, and to have so many officers in my family makes me so proud.
{two} what would the title of your memoir/biography be if it was written today?"something BIG is coming: me!"
{three} how far do you commute to work?40 minutes, one way
{four} are your earlobes attached or detached?I have no clue what this means! lol
{five} do you eat the unpopped kernels of popcorn at the bottom of the bag?Only if they’re half unpopped…
{six} what is the strangest gift you’ve ever received?I have no clue. maybe my stripper pole. I don't think that's strange, but maybe other people do. lol

Mother's Day

I woke up to a bouquet of beautiful red roses and cards from the hubs and chitlins.

We all went over to Mom's. I hopped in bed with her, and the hubs made us both breakfast in bed.

Coffee, soyrizo and egg burritos, and turkey bacon. YUM!

Then, one of the best things EVER...

Meaghan Smith called my mom and serenaded her over the phone!!!! She sang "Moon River" and it was the most beautiful thing ever. Mom and I cried. Happy tears!! So amazing! 

Then we spent the rest of the day laying out by the pool... relaxing, and sunning. It was a great family day.

I hope every Mama out there had a wonderful Mothers Day!!

1.   What I love most about my home is      that I OWN it .

2.  I'm excited because,    it's Mothers Day weekend which translates to being extra spoiled by my family, and giving my Mama some extra special attention .

3.  My preferred method for blowing  off steam when I'm frustrated is     kickin' ass and takin' names... at the gym (hehe) .

4.  Currently I am craving   CHOCOLATE! it's been all over the tv and I just want a little drizzle of super dark chocolate over ripe, juicy strawberries... mmmmmm .

5.  The thing I love most about my mom is     EVERYTHING! lol. Her undying and everlasting love for me, for my father, for the Lord... her compassionate heart, her words, her singing (yes, even your singing Ma...), her love for shoes (and makeup, and clothes, and shopping, and pretty much anything girly).... truly I could go on forever. I love this woman .

6.  If I was going to write a book about my life, the title would be      i thought I was... it's called "Something BIG is Coming"... lol. Blog... book... big dif!! lol  .

7.  If I were to eat one thing for the rest of eternity it would be       all the cheeses of the world... I love me some cheese.

sick & scrappin'

so, i didn't exactly play hookie from work today... thursdays i work at my second job and the hours are minimal, therefore leaving me time to get to other things. now, while i am honestly and seriously sick, i just could only lay in bed for so long. i kept thinking about this half-done layout sitting on my desk. so, i decided to take an hour and get it finished. and so i did, and thought i'd share!!

{one} when was the last time you used a pay phone (if ever)?Wow... I can honestly say I do not remember. I want to say it was when I was 16 and ran away to the beach. I called my neighbor, Kerry, to have her tell my parents I was okay. Lame, I know. (sidenote, I got caught and had to come home the next morning... and got grounded.... for a month! lol)

{two} did you ever fail a subject in school?No way! C's weren't even acceptable (although I did get several of those).

{three} where do you go to get your favorite hamburger/cheeseburger?Cheeseburger in Paradise has the best most yummiest burgers.

{four} have you ever served jury duty?Nope. 
{five} how old were you when you moved out of your parents’ house?18

{six} what is your favorite color to wear?Black. lol. and Pink.

{seven} do you have a pair of shoes that you wear all the time?Probably my black chanklas (flip-flops).

{eight} do you enjoy talk radio?Nope. Boooooring.

{nine} if you could turn one unhealthy food into a healthy one, what food would it be?Homemade Mexican food. 

{ten} who is the best speaker you’ve ever heard in person?I'd have to say Pastor Mike from Northridge Community Church. I really enjoy the way he delivers a message.

on my mind

• i don't blog about my family. about my kids. i partially think that's because i don't want them (their identity) on the internet. but this is my blog. and they are apart of me. a large part of me. i need to work on this.
• i had such an appreciation for the arts. specifically the performing arts. i want to share that here, more often. 
• since my dad passed, my mom has become one of my closest friends. i honestly have a lot of fun with her, and i love doing things with her. i love you mama.
• i miss scrapbooking. i think i should try and make some time for that real soon. maybe even attend a crop at a local scrapbooking store.
• my mother's day wish list is so long. i wouldn't dare show it, only because there really isn't anything i need, just want. and i'm really trying to weed out the 'want' purchases.
• speaking of 'want' and 'purchases'... i really want to go shopping with my daughter at the mall. girl days are so much fun, i remember how special they were to me and my mom when i was younger... they still are (we shop quite a bit together). it's been a while, but i'd love to take her out for a day and buy some cute clothes for her. even though she totally trending these days. hehe
• my little boy is turning 11 in a few days... i don't know how to feel about it. he is still my little boy, just with a big kid wish list (like airsoft guns. lol)
• the house seriously needs some spring cleaning. anyone wanna volunteer? hehe
