i've fallen in love

Friday, August 5, 2011 two angels entered our world. Two sweet, and perfect souls were sent to two incredible and deserving parents. God answers prayers, diligent and unwavering prayers. And God is Good!

Rocco Ottomar was born at 5:44pm weighing 5 pounds and 15 ounces and 17.5 inches long. 

Lillian Suzanne was born at 5:45pm weighing 5 pounds 5 ounces and 18 inches long.

I was blessed to spend their 18th hour through their 29th hour of life with them. And again their second day. I spent hours upon hours just holding each sweet bundle of joy, creating and nurturing a bond between us. It was so difficult to leave these two angels and head back to AZ (they were in CA). I told the hubs we MUST get Skype asap!! I am planning to give the new family some time to settle in and find their new life, but will be visiting and bringing the hubs an the chitlins to meet the sweet angels very very soon.

Congratulations SuzyQ and Eric. You are wonderful, amazing, and blessed parents. Love you so much!!

fill in the blank friday

hi folks! it's a crazy busy friday her  in Jen-land! i'm awaiting 'the call' for baby watch 2011. there is a good chance today is the day (and it's a 5 hour drive back to CA for me). if i'm not SoCal-bound, the kids have haircut appointments with Red at Salon Sanctuary, then Cycle class followed by Gentle Yoga. Oh, and Mom comes back into town today. Whew. Lots and lots to get done. So I'd better get going on this FITBF and get to my A/P and A/R sitting on my desk. hehe

1.   My go to outfit for a dress-up occasion like a wedding is       probably a dress. I've got several to choose from, nothing that screams 'Wear Me', but something to get me by. lol  .

2.  This week has been    busy and full of anticipation. sooo ready to meet those angel babies... just waiting for the call .

3.  When it's dinnertime and I'm feeling lazy I'll usually eat     greek yogurt with berries and slivered almonds, or whatever is leftover .

4.  My favorite pair of shoes is   ugh! just one! that's like asking me to choose a favorite child, can't do it. right now, my fav pair is by Dollhouse (black pump with heel to ankle zipper and chains for ankle straps) .

5.  A random item that I own that is completely unnecessary, but that I could never part with is      oh geez, I know I have plenty of these things, I just can't think of any. Probably the halter outfit I wore on my 16th birthday. I've saved it all these years. I only wore it twice. I can't seem to get rid of it. lol  .

6.  My favorite person is      myself! lol. I can't choose between my mom, the hubs, my sis, the kids... all the above please. and of course, daddy.  .

7.  If I were going to write my own blank it would say       My Sweetest Indulgence is...  .

wee bit wednesday

i can't believe it's already wednesday! this week is both flying by, and taking for-ev-er! so much to do every day, but i like my days jam packed with to-do's and such. 

allright... here we go... play along if you'd like.

{one} what was one thing that you valued when you were a kid?Interesting question. "Valued" and "Kid" don't usually sound right together, but I would have to say as a kid I valued family time. Friday nights (TGIF), going out to a new restaurant or event or outing that my parents wanted to expose us to, or special events at home like anniversaries or birthdays. So many amazing memories.
{two} what was your favorite (+ lease favorite) subject in school?I've always loved Math, I truly disliked Economics, like really bad.
{three} do you remember your first love?Of course. What girl doesn't. lol.
{four} what one pet would you love to have?I'm really not a 'pet' person, but if I absolutely HAD to choose, I'd say a puppy, that wouldn't grow big.
{five} would you rather live in the country or in the city?I'd have a house in both. lol. Some days I wish it was the country, but to be completely honest, I can't be too far from a good shopping mall. Even with the wonders of technology and online shopping, sometimes a girl just wants to stroll down the way and window shop. 
{six} what do you love about blogging?I love that blogging has introduced me to some amazing people, some who have become incredibly important to me and my life.
{seven} what is the first website you visit everyday?Yahoo, to check my email. Followed by (don't want to admit this) Facebook. Followed by google reader.
{eight} will you or have you joined google+?Nope, and probably wont.
{nine} what is your favorite scent of candle/air freshener?In Spring and Summer it's floral, like Sunflower or Sweet Pea. In Fall and Winter it's spice, like Cinnamon or Pumpkin Pie.
{ten} how would you describe your style?Champagne taste on a Beer budget so I'll settle for a good bottle of Wine instead. lol.

My August will be filled with:

- a quick trip to CA to meet...

- two new beautiful souls entering this world (hopefully this week)

- yoga, spin (cycle) class, cardio and weight training schedules

- new clean eating recipes (some sweet recipes that i'm so excited to try)

- school shopping (clothes and supplies)

- kids hair cuts

- mama and daughter mani's

- first day of school (can't believe my first born will be in 8th grade)

- my 31st birthday

remember This Post? I thank God for answering all of the prayers sent his way for my dear friends! They are expecting... twins! And it looks like they will arrive this week! I've got my phone close to me, at a moments notice when I get the call I'll be in the car headed to CA to meet the two precious angels from heaven!! I'm calling this, Baby Watch 2011! lol
