The post below helps to explain the rollercoaster pace I've been on the past month.
*Paul and I celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversary (not to mention this June will be 14 years we've actually been together).
*March 15 (coincidentally my parent's 29 year wedding anniversary) we left for a surpise-to-the-kids and fun-filled week to the island of Kauai'i, Hawai'i.
*March 22 (coincidentally my sister and soon-to-be-ex-brother-in-law Joe's 6 year wedding anniversary) we return to the "real-world.
*Previous to the above mentioned, Paul and I ran the business for two weeks on a 24/7 schedule (quite stressful, to say the very least)

Don't mean to sound so stressful... but, this vacation has been planned for over 5 years... it was well deserved, and much anticipated by Paul and I.

...So without futher a'do... here are some photos...

(The kids so excited to be in a limo... at 545am... they had NO IDEA we were going to Hawai'i)

(Our place-of-stay, the Bali Hai in Princeville, Kauai'i, Hawai'i)

the beginning of the Na'Pali Coast... this doesn't even BEGIN to describe it!! It is truly God's amazing creation!

The taro fields where they made poi.Aloha!

friday the 13th anniversary...

Once upon a time... approximately 10 years ago, these two kids got married.

Fast forward 1o years to today... and those kids are still married (just a little older).

So much has happened in the past 10 years, and yet, it flew by so incredibly quick. In the days before our wedding, I wondered where we would be in 10 years. How will we have changed. I must say, we've taken some unexpected turns in life, but most of it we planned. Today, I am grateful to say (like our wedding song suggests) "Looks Like We Made It". Ten years is a milestone that most marriages just don't reach.

RVA Project 2

Is *finally complete!! The long story short... I came home friday night all spitfire ready to work on this quilt... I was all super excited when I had it cut out, pinned up, then sewn together and ready to turn out in less than 2 hours.
Then I turned it out.
Don't ask me how, but I managed to pin and sew the whole thing inside out (this is probably why I always stuck to the paper projects, hehe). So... I spent the next 4 hours unstitiching it. Grrr.
I woke up Saturday morning, re-pinned it, sewed it (the correct way) then got down on the ground (pic here) and hand-stitched the X.
Don't misunderstand.... I really did love this project. But man-oh-man... lesson learned! :-)

I'm like McDonalds...

I'm Lovin' It! Totally been inspired by the 80s!

Watched WORKING GIRL the other day...

I am so totally gonna sport my hair all big-like! hehe

how fun is this...
